A Mother Blessing is a beautiful ceremony designed to honour the mother to be. Steeped in tradition and connecting women, it is a celebration to honour the journey of pregnancy and the impending birth. It differs from a baby shower, which focuses on gifts for the baby, a Mother Blessing is centred around nurturing the Mother-to-be, providing her with love, support, and positive energy as she prepares for childbirth and motherhood, no matter if it is her first pregnancy or 5th and any in between.

At Every Season Naturopathy, we exist to service health and well-being in every season of your life, and this very special time is no exception. Itis our intention to facilitate a sacred and empowering experience for expecting mothers. We will work closely with you to custom design a Mother Blessing Ceremony tailored to the preferences and beliefs of the Mother-to-be.

Naturopath Louise, a mother herself, is passionate about honouring the rite of passage that Mothers navigate through during pregnancy, birth and beyond. Additionally, recognising the importance of the concept of ‘The Village’ that has been so lost in the hustle and bustle of our lives over the past 60+ years. A Mother Blessing is a beautiful way to reinstate the concept of The Village at such an important an pivotal time.

1. Bespoke Planning: We’ll collaborate with you to create a meaningful and memorable Mother Blessing Ceremony, incorporating elements such as rituals, blessings, and activities that resonate with the mother-to-be.

2. Sacred Space: You choose and provide the location and we’ll help you set the stage for a beautiful and sacred gathering. We’ll set a circle to gather in and decorate with elements of nature including crystals, foliage and flowers. Whether it’s in a cozy living room, a tranquil outdoor setting or any other location of your choosing, we can set the scene for a beautiful ceremony. If you would like to hold your Mother Blessing at a venue and need some help finding one, we can provide you with some suggestions.

3. Heartfelt Rituals: Choose from a range of different rituals from belly blessings, guided meditations, candle lighting ceremonies, sharing circles and so much more. We’ll facilitate a variety of rituals designed to honour the mother-to-be and foster connection amongst the guests.

4. Fostering Community Spirit: In surrounding the expecting mother with love and support from her closest friends and family members, strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories. Additionally, in the practical sense of community, the Mother-to-be may ask each guest to bring some food that she can have in the freezer ready for her postpartum period or organise a food tree for the guests to drop off meals once baby has arrived earth side.

5. Keepsake Creations: Option to include a bead making ceremony, birthing affirmation card making and other symbolic tokens that the Mother-to-be can cherish as she moves though her motherhood journey.

1. Consultation: We’ll start with a consultation to discuss your vision, preferences, and any special considerations for the Mother Blessing Ceremony. This can be done face-to-face at the clinic in Ballarat, via Zoom or via email, whichever suits you best!

2. Planning: We will work with you to plan all the details of the ceremony, ensuring that every aspect reflects the Mother-to-be’s wishes and desires.

3. Facilitation: On the day of the Mother Blessing, we will arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of the guests to set the circle and set up any activities. We will then guide you and your guests through a heartfelt and uplifting ceremony, creating a space of love, joy, and support.
